Although more pricey than Argentina, Uruguay is still a bargain on the worldwide wingshooting market, especially when one considers the tranquility, safety, and ease of travel.  Indeed, Uruguay bird hunting is much more like shooting in Europe, than something out of Latin America.

Our customers always report (while sipping a cocktail on the patio) how quaint they think Uruguay is.  How refined.  In fact, there is plenty to do.  Uruguay duck hunting might be the reason you came, but it may well not be the reason that you return.  The country is a haven for bird hunters, but it is also has some of the best beaches in all of South America, and more than one of our clients per year ends up buying a beachfront villa in the beautiful city of Punta del Este.

We suggest that you plan your next Uruguay duck hunting trip by allowing for 7 days of travel.

Day 1: Depart USA
Day 2: Arrive in Montevideo and transfer to your hotel
Day 3: City tour and shopping AM and early PM-PM transfer to lodge
Day4: Hunt
Day 5: Hunt
Day 6 Hunt AM - followed by PM flight
Day 7: arrive back in USA

* Note this is an itinerary for dove hunting only.  If your plans call for duck hunting in Uruguay, we suggest an extra day to accommodate this activity.

Argentina - Can We Do It Too?

Of course, many of our guests fly into Buenos Aires (EZE) when they arrive in South America.  They often stay there for a day or two before bird hunting in Uruguay.  Once they arrive in Uruguay, we process their firearms (if necessary), and then arrange for the permit for the duck hunting in Uruguay (a simple procedure that takes place at the airport).

After a few minutes, the group is off to the estancia where they will arrive in the early afternoon for an early afternoon of Uruguay bird hunting.  The first day is always the most important-one never gets a second chance to make a first impression.  Fortunately, the bird hunting in Uruguay is so good, that 99% of the time the hunters come back to the lodge with smiling faces, and are very, very pleased with the first day in the field-which always makes our job easy.
